Victoria City Council Decisions
Community Voices Matter gives residents of Victoria, British Columbia, a way to share their views on decisions made by Victoria City Council and to see how other residents feel about those decisions.
Each survey takes only a few minutes. You’ll receive a short overview of one Council decision, answer a handful of questions, and then see how other residents responded and how councillors voted.
Registration is free. Your individual responses remain confidential: they are never published, shared with others, or attributed to you. Survey results are reported only as combined totals.

- Where does the information in the surveys come from?
- From the public record: council and committee minutes, staff reports, and the recordings of the meetings themselves. Every survey lists its sources, and the vote records shown after completion link to the original documents.
- Are the surveys scientific polls?
- No. They are open surveys of whoever chooses to take part, not random-sample opinion polls, and the results should be read that way.
- Do I need an account to take part?
- Yes. Taking part in a survey requires registering. Your individual responses stay confidential: they are never published, and they are never attributed to you. Results are only ever reported as totals.
